Quiz Night

Friday 18th May we are having a quiz night consisting of general knowledge and music questions, teams are made up on the night or we may play as individuals depending on the numbers.

Garden Party 2012

Cafe Turnaround will be hosting a Garden Party to celebrate the Queens diamond Jubilee, the ladies have choosen to be in hats and the gentlmen in ties this is optional but could be fun. The party will be on Tuesday 5th June with a Buffet, game and music being organised.

Cup Cake Decoration

Layla, our latest student on placement facilitated a cup cake decorating group with fantastic results. The cup cakes will be consumed on Friday 27th April end of month Bingo, Layla also finishes her placement with us and will help to devour the cakes.

Dining Room

The dining room offers a wide variety of home cooked meals and various salads.

A typical menu for the dining room is:-

From Monday to Sunday a three course meal is on offer, Soup- 60p, Main Meal- £1.60, Various Salads, £1.50 and Sweets- 70p. This is a daily menu eg.

Mondays Menu Soup – Cream of Chicken and Cauliflower

Main Meal – Macaroni Chips and Peas or Various Salads

Sweet – Sticky Toffee Pudding and Custard

Tuesdays Menu – Soup – Minestrone

Main Meal – Spagetti Bolognaise and Crusty Bread or Various Salads

Sweet – Apple Pie and Custard

Member’s Tuition

Basic Guitar Class - Guitar tutor at this moment has been unable to attend. This group will happend again soon.

Creative Writing Class – Members are invited to join this long standing group hosted by Mr Alistair Paterson. Beginners or more advanced creative writers are very welcome. The class runs on Tuesday nights from 7.00pm.

Cafe Turnaround has a photography group that met on a weekly basis. The group at the moment is postponed due to lack of numbers but will start again soon.

Open Day 2012

Ayr Action for Mental Health will be celebrating 25 years as a charity and 15 years in Strathyre house by hosting an Open Day this year on Wednesday the 29th August. We are looking for member volunteers who are interested in being part of the organising committee and help to plan the day, date, entertainment etc. If anyone is interested please get in touch by calling in to the day centre or email and we will get in touch with you.
